Though earlier today we thought Dr. Silber had moved Joy to a liquid diet, that is not so. He came by this evening and verified that she was not suppose to be on a liquid diet at all, some mistake with the nurses i think. She is on a nothing by mouth order, she get all her food via the friendly IV. Besides that Joy is doing great, we walked around the ward today, did 2 mini laps around “the block”, and she felt great doing that. Family has been around most of the afternoon, and we have been playing board games and relaxing together.
The PR department for Dr. Silber’s office contacted me last night, they have pitched Maeapple and Joy’s story to the media. The local FOX affiliate will be interviewing them tomorrow morning at 7.45am and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch will be doing an article in the next few days, we are happy to share the story so that others can benefit from this amazing procedure.
We’ve been having a great time reading the emails and comments out loud, its like an instant injection (but not painful) of goodness for everyone.
